Foggy Dew, after rounding the Fastnet Rock during the Rolex Fastnet Race 2007. Photo by Rolex/Daniel FosterThe entry for the 2009 Rolex Fastnet Race opens on 5th January 2009.

Details of the entry, qualification, training and documents required are now available in the Advanced Competitors Information, all you need to know is clearly laid out on the new Rolex Fastnet Race Minisite.

The 2007 Rolex Fastnet Race was very well subscribed and waiting list had to be formed. The logistics of the race and berthing in Plymouth means the entry will be limited to 300 boats, if we reach the limit we will again set up a waiting list.

In your planning for the race you may be interested in the Crew match evening held at the Royal Ocean Racing Club, Clubhouse in London on the 16th January 2009, where we aim to introduce Owners/Skippers and crew to each other. The full details of the event will be published on the main RORC website www.rorc.org.
